SOMEBODY GET ME A DOCTOR
I've been quiet on here - life kind of got the better of me for longer than I would like, but that’s life for you. I’ve archived my old blog after years of posting and started again. I may merge them one day but a clean slate is always good for the soul.
Let’s get this party started with some notes on things I'm working on - let’s call it proof of life.
This last couple of weeks, I dug out a whole stack of things I started a long time ago and actually sat down to finish them. The one that pushed itself to the top of the pile fastest was a Doctor Who script that's been in a drawer for years - truth be told, it was so long ago when I started it that Matt Smith was in the middle of his run.
The House of Sipan is set on a remote Scottish island - there’s a monster, and another one… and another! I’d love to think I can make this happen in the real world given the huge break in filming the show but who knows - these things are tough nuts to crack but it won’t be for want of trying.
Over the last week or so, I rewrote it as a short story from a minor character’s point of view, (if it’s good enough for Moffat with Blink, it’s more than good enough for me). It’s ready to go and I figured to give it some life, I’d simply give it away. You can click here and simply read it online. Please feel free to share it if the mood strikes you, I’d appreciate it very much if you didn’t steal it (for whatever reason - demons will come for you in the night if you do), and comments are enabled.
More soon. Definitely this week - and there’s a mask involved. Bonus! (Especially if you like masks).
